No. We are not lawyers and we are not your medical defence organisation or professional indemnity insurer. We cannot tell you how to respond to Ahpra, what to put in a submission, or what the outcome is likely to be.

For advice on your own matter, speak to your indemnity insurer, your professional association or a lawyer. Ahpra also publishes a list of independent support services for practitioners. What we can answer is which courses cover which areas, how access works, and anything about buying.

Start with the page for your profession. Each one lists the concerns that come up most often for that profession and the courses written to Ahpra and that National Board’s standards, with a filter that narrows them by the type of concern.

If you have read the page and are still unsure, write to us and say which areas you want covered. You do not need to tell us anything about your own matter for us to answer that.

Yes. We never tell Ahpra, a National Board, a NSW Council, the HCCC or the OHO that you have written to us, bought a course or taken one. We keep no register any of them can search and no regulator has an account with us.

Usually yes. The courses are self-paced and open the moment payment clears, so there is nothing to schedule and nobody to wait for. Each carries 2 CPD hours issued by Healthcare Ethics Courses.

No course from us or from anyone else determines or influences the outcome of a notification. If a deadline is the reason you are buying, say so in your message and we will tell you plainly whether we think it helps.

No, and we will not tell you otherwise. No provider’s course determines or influences what a National Board decides. Anyone who tells you differently is selling you something.

What a course can do is help you think through what happened and how you would approach it now. What you do with that is yours.

Yes. Practices, hospitals, colleges and education teams buy places for several practitioners at once. Tell us how many people and which areas you need covered and we will put a quote together.

Email us from the address you bought it with and say which course. That is almost always enough for us to find the purchase and put it right.

Access runs twelve months from the date of purchase. Inside that period you may return to the course as often as you like, including after completing it.

Yes. Tell us what your finance team needs on the invoice — a purchase order number, a particular billing address — and we will raise it that way.

If your organisation is buying on your behalf, it sees your assignment, completion and date, and nothing else.

They are written to Ahpra and the National Boards’ standards and use Australian terminology throughout, so they suit a practitioner registered in Australia best.
